CASTORLAND — Priscilla Gascho, 72, State Route 126, died Saturday morning under the care of her family and Lewis County Hospice.

Priscilla was born September 28, 1940 to the late Erwin and Esther Moshier. She attended Croghan Country School and Beaver River Central School. She received her GED and also completed several purchasing courses at Jefferson Community College.

Priscilla was a member of the Naumburg Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School, worked in the church library and attended sewing circle. She enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, piecing quilts and quilt embroidery.

She worked at Beaverite Products for 10 years and then at Fort James Paper Corp for 23 years where as a stock room supervisor. She cared for a foster child as well as a niece and two nephews for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert J. Gascho Jr., a daughter, Sharon and Loren Roggie, Carthage, sons David and Judy Gascho, Pulaski, and John and Dawn Gascho, Myrtle Beach, SC.

She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Other survivors include her siblings, Mary, Lois and Susanna Moshier, Mark and Dawn Moshier, James and Karen Moshier, all of Castorland, Sam and Susan Moshier, Morristown NJ, Kathy and Greg Leichty, Louisville, KY and Carol Moshier, Morristown, NY as well as several nieces, nephews , great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday May 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Naumburg Mennonite Church. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday May 29h at 11 AM at the church. Private burial in the church cemetery will take place prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice PO Box 266 Lowville, NY 13367 or the Naumburg Mennonite Church building fund.
