Three people in a Disabled Persons Action Organization van were injured Monday morning when a General Brown Central School bus driver missed a stop on Route 180 and backed into it.
The driver, Seaborn R. Hall, 305 Franklin St., Brownville, missed a driveway at 25325 Route 180, near Route 12E, about 8:30 a.m. and failed to see a car behind it before backing into the parked vehicle, Jefferson County sheriffs deputies said.
All three occupants of the DPAO van Dianne L. Warner, John M. Ratigliano and the unidentified driver were taken to Samaritan Medical Center, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
Fifteen students were on the bus, but none was injured, deputies said.
An unsafe backing ticket was issued against the bus driver. Gary C. Grimm, the school districts transportation director, declined to comment about any disciplinary action that might be taken against the driver.
