Collegiate baseball: Rams lose, drop to 1-4

ELMIRA — The Watertown Rams struggles on the road continued on Wednesday night.

Pitcher Steve Klimek took a line drive on his arm off the bat of Austin Lueck in the first inning and then settled down to pitch five innings to earn the win as the Elmira Pioneers downed the Rams, 7-4, in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game at Dunn Field.

Watertown (1-4) has lost all four of its games away from the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds this season.

Chris Kalousdian tripled, doubled and knocked in two runs for the Pioneers (3-1), and Brian Bashara singled twice and drove in two runs.

Lueck and Joe Maroney each recorded three hits for the Rams, who play host to Cooperstown at 7 tonight.
