LOWVILLE Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peter Moody Sr., 6202 Stewart Lane, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration from 1 to 5 p.m. June 29 at the Lowville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Moody, son of the late Edward and Daisy (Northrup) Moody, and Norma Emma Foote, daughter of the late Glenn Sr. and Jessie (Freeman) Foote, were married on July 6, 1963, at Lowville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Malabar officiating.
Mr. Moody attended Lowville schools. He worked for Harold Loucks, on the Ralph and Sally Hoffman Farm, Payne Jones and retired from Kraft Foods Inc. He enjoys woodworking and spending time at camp on Tug Hill.
Mrs. Moody attended General Martin School, Glenfield. She worked for Beaverite and AMF before retiring from the Lewis County Health Facility after 25 years of service. She volunteers for various local organizations.
The couple has one son, Harold Peter Pete Jr., Virginia; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula Jean (Moody) and Todd Bates, Gouverneur; two granddaughters and one step-granddaughter.
