CPH’s Cottage Street entrance closed on Monday

POTSDAM —The main driveway entrance from Cottage Street to Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Emergency Department will be closed for repairs for 24 hours beginning at 6 a.m. Monday. The entrance will reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Ambulances and other first responders have been asked to use the Grove or Leroy Street entrances as alternatives. Patients and visitors should use the Grove or Leroy Street entrances, or enter the small parking lot off Cottage Street adjacent to the Emergency entrance, and drive through that lot to their destination, using caution. The Emergency Department and main entrance of the hospital remain open and accessible; construction will be occurring where the driveway meets Cottage Street.

Repairs to the Cottage Street entrance are needed following disruption to the blacktop caused by a water main break at the end of this past winter.
