City police charged Christopher L. Arruda, 30, of 906 Water St., after he allegedly wielding a knife during an altercation early Sunday at a residence at 169 Flower Ave. E.
Mr. Arruda allegedly grabbed and pointed a kitchen knife at Jonathan W.G. ORiley. Police said he also damaged the back door of the residence, owned by Katherine Navarra, by forcing it open when it was latched.
Arrested at 3:03 a.m., he was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court. Police said he also had warrants from state police in Adams and from a police agency in Florida. The Florida agency told city police it will extradite Mr. Arruda once his local charges are settled.
