Watertown — M. Patricia “Pat” Clark, 86, 1011 Gotham Street, passed away Friday, June 14 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

She was born in Carthage May 21, 1927, a daughter of Leonard W. and Maude Amelia St. Amour McDonald. Upon moving to Watertown, she was educated in the parochial school district, graduating from Immaculate High Central in 1945. Following graduation, Pat married Edward “Pete” Clark on September 15, 1947. Mr. Clark died August 18, 1987.

Pat worked at the House of the Good Samaritan for 10 years as a registration clerk. After leaving the hospital, Pat worked as a crossing guard for 15 years on the corner of Ward St. and Myrtle Avenue. During this time she also worked at Knickerbocker School as a lunchroom monitor. Mrs. Clark retired from both positions in 2011 as one of the longest serving crossing guards in Watertown.

Pat was a communicant of Holy Family Church, as well as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed her cat Danielle, spending time with her children & grandchildren, and coffee on Tuesday’s with her girlfriends Shirley, Nancy and Carol.

She will be remembered as a loving and compassionate person.

Pat is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Kevin (Sally) Clark, Watertown; 3 grandchildren, Peter (Lymary) Clark, Seattle, Wa; Kathleen Patricia Clark, Watertown; Dillon Flynn, Denver, Co. Pat is also survived by her best friend of over 70 years, Carol Goodfriend, Watertown.

She is pre-deceased by a daughter, Deborah Clark.

The funeral mass will be Tuesday, June 18, 11am at Holy Family Church, Rev. Steven Murray officiating. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home preceding the mass at 10:15am. Burial will be held in Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, June 17, 3pm-7pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Holy Family Church, 129 Winthrop Street, Watertown, NY 13601, or to Hospice of Jefferson County at the Ellis Farm.
