Mike Arquiett and Taylor Caprara won sportsman races Friday night at two north country speedways.

Arquiett won the Frenchie’s “Go Further” race at the Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne. Caprara captured the 25-lap sportsman race at Can-Am Motorsports Park in LaFargeville.

Arquett held off defending track champion Dylan Evoy, while Caprara beat Brandon Hagan across the finish line at Can-Am.

Matt Parkhurst (pro street); Charlie Sandercock (late models); Cory Costell (thunder cars); JR Durham (thunder stock); Daniel Swem (enduro) and Butch Luther was the novice sportsman winner in the other Can-Am features.

Bill Dunn (358 modified); Stephane LeBrun (pro stock) and Jeff May (TUSA late-model series) were winners at the Mohawk International Raceway.
