Utica teen admits to helping damage Lyons Falls car wash


LOWVILLE — A Utica teen admitted Friday in Lewis County Court that he had helped to damage a Lyons Falls car wash.

Marcus S. Borggreen, 19, was arraigned on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief and pleaded guilty to the charge. Sentencing was set for Aug. 9.

Mr. Borggreen was accused of helping to damage control panels July 27 at North Country Car Wash in Lyons Falls.

An accomplice, Jason T. Lynch, 17, of 8149 Boonville Road, in April was sentenced to one year in county jail, $1,540 restitution and $375 in court fees on a charge of third-degree criminal mischief.

Also in Lewis County Court on Friday:

Jeffrey A. Ward, 41, of 7584 S. State St., pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal contempt, then was sentenced to three years’ probation and $250 in court fees. Judge Daniel R. King also issued a five-year order of protection on the victim’s behalf. Mr. Ward was accused of violating an order of protection April 11 in the village of Lowville by pushing Ashley Ward to the floor.

Robert O. Mono, 26, of 4882 Beech Ridge Road, Carthage, was sentenced to three years’ probation, $1,655 in restitution and $250 in court fees on a charge of petit larceny, to which he pleaded guilty April 26. Mr. Mono was accused of stealing guns belonging to Donald Farr on June 28, 2010, in the village of Lowville.

Matthew D. Ludwikowski, 17, of 7052 W. Main St., Port Leyden, had sentencing on a petit larceny charge adjourned to Aug. 23; he pleaded guilty March 1. He was accused Dec. 9 of stealing a hammer and wired fencing belonging to Robert Reese in the town of Leyden.
