COPENHAGEN Two Copenhagen teens last week were accused of stealing money from a village residence, Lewis County sheriffs deputies released Wednesday.
Charged last Thursday with third-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy were Dallas Church, 18, and Brian Groff, 16. Mr. Church additionally was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Both teens were arraigned in Denmark Town Court, with Mr. Church sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $10,000 bail and Mr. Groff released on his own recognizance.
The pair was accused of taking the money during the month of May. Deputies did not specify the amount, but a third-degree grand larceny charge requires the alleged theft of more than $3,000 worth of property.
Jefferson County sheriffs deputies assisted in the investigation.
