WADDINGTON - The featured match of the past week in the Murray’s Old Irish Inn Golf League was the “Battle by the Brooks” at Twin Brooks CC between the Dinneen brothers teams.

In recent weeks, John Dinneen had gotten the best of his brother, Dan (even Eldric has off weeks). This night produced a classic match with both Dinneens shooting one under par 34s. while Jeff Stein shot a 44 to Mike Stoner’s 45.

In the end, the handicap differential proved to be John and Mike’s undoing as Dan and Jeff came away with a 7-point win.
