A Watertown woman was charged by city police following a domestic incident at her home after she allegedly hit a man over the head with a board.

Police said ChanTraylle N.D. Johnson, 206 Franklin St., Apt. 401, hit James E. Johnson, same address, during the Saturday night incident, and allegedly burned and damaged a collection of photos and picture frames.

Charged with second-degree attempted assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief and possession of a weapon at her residence at 10:01 p.m. Saturday, Ms. Johnson was held pending arraignment in City Court. Police said Mr. Johnson requested a stay-away order of protection from her following the incident.
