CAPE VINCENT An Albany woman charged with bringing drugs into the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility pleaded guilty to multiple charges on Monday.
Stacey D. Surgick, 43, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
It is alleged that she had three alprazolam and four buprenorphine pills hidden in her body when she visited the facility on March 24. State police later found 25 grams of marijuana when they searched her vehicle.
Released on her own recognizance, Ms. Surgicks next court appearance tentatively is scheduled for Aug. 27.
