CANTON The South Colton man whose seizure dog business has been prohibited from being marketed by the state Supreme Court has filed a motion to reargue his case.
Jon C. Sabin, operator of Seizure Alert Dogs for Life Inc., is looking to fight state Supreme Court Justice David R. Demarests May 23 ruling preventing him from marketing his seizure dogs, which he claimed were trained to alert their owners to oncoming seizures.
Mr. Sabin claims satisfied customers attempted to speak with the state attorney general and information was withheld from the court.
He also alleges he was turned away from services at the St. Lawrence County Courthouse because he has a service dog, a violation of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. July 12 at the St. Lawrence County Courthouse.
