MASSENA Eugene L. Nicandri, of Massena, has been reappointed to another term on the New York Power Authority board of trustees.
The state Senate confirmed his reappointment last week. Mr. Nicandri, a retired judge, has spent nearly five years as a NYPA trustee. He helped orchestrate the deal with Alcoa Inc. that led to the reconstruction of the Massena East plant and the guaranteed preservation of 900 area jobs.
NYPA is a public power organization that provides low-cost electricity to companies to promote job creation.
