Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wolfe, Patterson Road, formerly of North Hamilton Street, observed their 62nd wedding anniversary Monday. The couple will celebrate at Sand Bay Resort, Clayton-Cape Vincent Road, where they have summered since 1965.
Mr. Wolfe, son of the late John and Mary Wolfe, and Ida Foster, daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia Foster, were married on June 24, 1951, at Holy Family Church with the Rev. Anthony Milia officiating.
Mrs. Wolfe graduated in 1947 from Lowville Academy and Central School and in 1950 from the House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Samaritan Medical Center until her retirement.
Mr. Wolfe graduated in 1945 from Watertown High School and served in the Navy for three years. He was meat department manager at Loblaws on State Street and worked at Fort Drum Commissarys meat department until his retirement. He is a former member of the Burnt Creek Hunting Club, Watson.
Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe have spent many winters during their retirement in Pensacola, Fla., and enjoyed vacation cruises with family.
The couple has two daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and John Hardter, Watertown, and Sandra and Joseph Trainer, Pensacola, one granddaughter and grandson-in-law and one great-granddaughter.
