Watertown police charged Luke M. Shaughnessy, 35, of 1217 State St., at 2:44 a.m. Sunday at 132 William St. with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Police said Mr. Shaughnessy caused public annoyance and alarm when he pounded on the door to Ashley Arrudas residence at 132 William St., refused officers demands that he leave the premises and yelled at patrols who were bringing four residents out onto Ms. Arrudas porch.
Mr. Shaughnessy then resisted getting into a patrol vehicle, kicked at officers and had to be physically placed in the patrol vehicle, police said.
Mr. Shaughnessy also was charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly attempting to kick one of the officers, Robert L. Sines, in the head during the arrest.
Mr. Shaughnessy was held on $500 police bail at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday in Watertown City Court.
