Judge politicians on ideas, leadership

Weiner got whacked. Ouch! That’s a painful image, isn’t it? Well, that is just what the people like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi were thinking when they joined the GOP attack on Anthony Weiner. That is the way they wanted to act with their own husbands’ indiscretions, but didn’t. Their husbands didn’t lose their jobs, political or otherwise, even though they committed real indiscretions. Now they call for the head of a congressman who was caught flirting online. I agree that what he did was disgusting, in hindsight, but it was only flirting in the modern world through the media of imagination. That’s right, only flirting. The Democratic Party has assisted the GOP in making modern flirting an impeachable offense. Through the vengeful minds of those betrayed by their own spouses, flirting is now not allowed. The Democrat Party will be the next victim of the monster they have just released onto the American political scene, which brings me to my point.

I have always said that sex is another body function and should have no place in public conversation, as any other body function does. What ever happened to discretion? We don’t talk about bowel movements, blowing our nose or masturbation in public. JFK, FDR, the king of France, and politicians around the world have mistresses and they keep their jobs. Why, because frankly it doesn’t matter any more than any other body function does. What matters for our leaders is their ideas, concepts, and leadership. Who they sleep with is only a distraction, a smokescreen if you will, from the people who disagree with a logic they oppose. Only a trick to sidetrack the conversation.

The Democratic Party, by launching an attack on a good progressive representative, acted like a bunch of barnyard chickens, who kill one of their own at the first sign of sickness. You haven’t seen the last of this Weiner.
