Starting July 23, Time Warner Cables local public, educational and government-access programing will be delivered in digital format only.
These channels will remain in existing packages but will only be viewable with digital equipment, such as a set-top box Time Warner provides.
Televisions with built-in digital cable tuners (QAM or ClearQAM) will be able to view the programming without additional equipment on channel 97-3 in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
Customers who wish to view these channels on a television without digital equipment may request digital adapters and remote controls free from Time Warner through Sept. 23. Starting Jan. 1, 2015, digital adapters will cost 99 cents a month.
Digital adapters may be ordered by calling 855-286-1736 to speak with a customer representative or online at http://wdt.me/y2vH9w.
