DaVinci’s sweeps Hosmer’s in See-Way Slo-Pitch Softball

DaVinci’s swept a doubleheader from Hosmer’s Marina 12-11 and 15-0 on Tuesday evening in See-Way Slow-Pitch Softball action at Monnet Park.

In game one, Ed Johnson’s second single of the game scored Nate Angel in the seventh for the game-winning run. Zach Sharpe supplied a triple, a double and a single and Bill Durham belted a triple and a single. Justin Martel, Chris White, John “Voorhees” Bushey and Johnson all singled twice.

Willie Barr, Darin King, Bill Payne, and Matt Bell all singled twice.

In the nightcap, Bill Durham pitched a five-hit shutout as Drew Thornhill acccounted for two hits.

For DaVinci’s, Bill Durham had a triple, double and two singles while Shawn Knapp ripped a double and a triple and Zach Sharpe lined a triple and a single. Chris White added a double and two singles.

In other action, The Pub blanked Ogdensburg Bowl II 11-0 and Ogdensburg Bowl I denied Buster’s 19-7.

The Pub 11, Ogdensburg Bowl II 0: Mike Farrell produced a triple and two singles and Ron Bouchard lined three singles leading The Pub. Scott Wilson poled a double and single and scored three times.

Tyler Bushey tripled for Ogdensburg Bowl which was limited to three hits.

Ogdensburg Bowl I 19, Buster’s 7: ChrisFrary belted a pair of homeruns and a single, Jim Samarco launched a homerun and a double and Chris Harper smacked a triple, a double and a single leading Ogdensburg Bowl I.

Adam Pirie lined a pair of doubles and a pair of singles for Buster’s. Kurtis Smithers had three singles while Erik Whitcombe supplied a triple and a single.
