Dutchmen defeat Rams, 3-1


ALBANY — Starting pitcher Dylan Collett went eight innings and struck out five, giving up only one run and Chris Bianchi slapped a two-run single in the second as the Albany Dutchmen beat the Watertown Rams, 3-1, in a Perfect Game Collegiate League Baseball game Saturday for their sixth straight win.

Zach Remillard chipped in with a sacrifice fly in the eight, and Thomas Belcher pitched a scoreless ninth for his third save for Albany (18-10), tied for first place in the PGCBL East Division with Glens Falls (19-11).

Bobby Indeglia provided an RBI groundout in the first for Watertown (18-15), which leads the PGCBL West over Elmira (14-15) by two games.

The Rams finish the road trip tonight at Glens Falls at 7:05 before returning home Tuesday against Adirondack for a 7 p.m. start.
