National Grid estimates power back on by 9 p.m. for remaining customers

POTSDAM - National Grid expects to have power back to most of its remaining customers in the region still without power by 9 p.m.

The utlility said it still has outages impacting 97 customers without power in St. Lawrence County and another 143 without power in St. Lawrence County.

The majority of customers without power in St. Lawrence County are in the Norwood, West Stockholm and Colton-Parishville area.

Three outages between Colton and High Flats, for example, are impacting 44 people, an outage in North Stockholm has 19 customers still without power and 18 customers on the Southville-Holmes Hill Road remain in the dark.

A storm moving through the area at approximately 6 p.m. Friday, following an afternoon of high winds, was responsible for the loss of power to several thousand people in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties. Most of the outages had been repaired by early Saturday morning.
