Watertown police charged Anthony M. Wilkinson with multiple counts after an alleged domestic dispute at his residence late Saturday.

Police said Mr. Wilkinson, 36, of 410A Wyoming Ave., Apt. A, used a knife to strike a door jamb, leaving several indentations on the door. He also is accused of putting the knife to his throat in the presence of a 7-year-old child.

Police also said that when they responded to the scene, they found a pistol for which he did not have a permit.

Charged at 11:08 p.m. Saturday with endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree possession of a weapon and criminal mischief, he was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
