The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the suspicious death of Philip R. Pickett, who was found dead in his parents’ home at 22834 Swan Road.

Investigators said Tuesday night the 33-year-old man suffered injuries during “an altercation,” although they have not said how he died.

A person of interest has been interviewed, they said.

Evidence that has been collected is still being examined. Investigators also are waiting for lab results.

Mr. Pickett was a resident of the house, owned by his parents, Robert J. and Terri J. Pickett. An autopsy was completed Tuesday, but the results have been withheld.

It’s not known if or when an arrest may be made.
