Ron’s Agridrainage regroups from loss to down B&W Quick Stop


BRASHER FALLS - Ron’s Agridrainage bounced back from its first loss of the season by netting a convincing 19-5 decision over B&W Quick Stop in Northern New York Box Lacrosse High School Division action on Monday at the Tri-Town Arena.

The other High School Division matchup saw Enbridge-St. Lawrence Gas outscore Massena Savings and Loan 14-9 for its second straight win. In the Elementary Division game, Stacey Howlett, DDS, turned back Dow Electric 11-8 while the Reds outlasted the Whites 18-13 in the Adult Division.

Ogdensburg Pepsi again sponsored Powerade Player of the Game awards for the Elementary Division and High School Division games.


Ron’s 19, B&W Quick Stop 5: Player of the game Kaleb Rathbun had a goal and three assists in the winning effort. Owen Kowalchuk broke through for five goals while Tyler Kowalchuk (1 assist) and Luke Collins each finished with a pair of goals.

Jake Sutton fashioned a goal and assist in being named player of the game for B&W Quick stop. Lukas Arquiett generated three goals and an assist in the losing cause.

Enbridge-SLG 14, Massena S&L 9: Isaiah Lyon produced five goals as player of the game in the winning effort. Matthew Duchscherer (1 assist) and Mike Plante each fashioned a hattrick.

For Massena S&L, player of the game Brody Simonds had two goals and two assist. Jeff Bain tallied four goals and Zach St. Hilaire chipped in a pair.

Combining to goaltend the two games were Joel Hinckley (22 saves), Parker Hornung (21 saves, 1 assist), Kody Kocsis (21 saves, 3 assists) and Cash Feeley (18 saves, 1 assist).


Stacey Howlett, DDS, 11, Dow Electric 8: Jonah Burnett scored twice to earn player of the game honors in the winning effort. Gage Charleson notched four goals followed by Ashton Adams with three while Logan Premo made six saves backstopping the win.

Zack Dumers netted two goals as player of the game for Dow Electric. Damien Rotach connected for five goals while Myles Bordeleau was counted on to make nine stops.


Reds 18, Whites 13: Ross Driscoll led the Reds attack with four goals while Jim Keenan 92 assists) and Kevin Logan (1 assist) each netted three goals. Tom Premo stood tall working the crease for 27 saves.

For the Whites, Ryan Cole tallied a goal and two assists. Brady Helmer notched a pair of goals and Andrew Fiske turned aside 21 shots.

WEDNESDAY’S GAMES: Elementary Division - Howlett, DDS, vs. Dow Electric 5:30 p.m.; High School Division - Ron’s vs. Enbridge-SLG 6:30 p.m., Massena S&L vs. B&W Quick Stop 7:30 p.m.; Adult Division 8:30 p.m.
