Three Franklin CF employees suspended following incident with inmate

MALONE - Three employees of Franklin Correctional Facility in Malone were suspended last week for allegedly assaulting an inmate at the facility.

New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision spokeswoman Linda Foglia said the incident remains under investigation, so she cannot divulge much information at this point.

She did confirm, however, that two sergeants and one corrections officer were suspended without pay July 23 for what she described as “a use of force incident involving an inmate.”

She could not release details of what allegedly happened during the incident since it is still under investigation.

Because there is an ongoing investigation, Ms. Foglia could not release the names of the employees or confirm if the inmate had been transferred to another facility.
