NORWOOD - The inaugural LibraryPalooza event held at the Norwood Public Library was attended by over 100 people and their children.

There was live music, art project stations, food, book sale and raffle prizes, and participants danced, laughed, sang, created, listened, ran, skipped, rolled, purchased, borrowed, ate and dug.

Raffle prize winners included Sharon Bishop, who took home a new Kindle; Rita Jackson, who grabbed a canvas library bag of books and the Ashley House candle bowl; Suzanne LaPage and Lila Waldruff, who also nabbed a canvas library bag of books; Tanner Jay of Norwood, who won a Lobster House gift certificate; and Ann Jay of Norwood, who is ready to do some shopping with her Northwoods Furniture gift certificate.

Library officials thanked all of the sponsors and in-kind donors for this event.

LibraryPalooza kicked off a month-long summer reading program at the Norwood Public Library, which will wind up with Gravitational Bull, a wild and crazy juggling act taking place at 5 p.m. Thursday at the library. This is a free program open to all.

Save the date for next year’s LibraryPalooza - June 14, 2014.
