GENEVA Former Carthage player Jolyon Davis will serve as one of six captains this fall for the Hobart College football team, the school announced Wednesday.
Davis, a former Times All-North honorable mention selection, is a senior free safety for the Statesmen.
Last season, in his first full year as a starter, Davis won first team All-Liberty League honors. He was sixth on the team with 50 tackles and added four pass breakups and an interception. In 31 career games, Davis has 70 tackles, six pass breakups and two interceptions.
Hobart won a school-record 12 games last season, finishing 12-1 and making the NCAA Division III quarterfinals.
