AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Isaac J. James, 24, of Marshfield, Vt., with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for use of a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle at 6:24 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Elm Street. Police said a Department of Motor Vehicles inquiry revealed that the James’ New York state operating privileges had been suspended on Jan. 17, 2012 for failure to pay driver responsibility assessment.



CELL PHONE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Laronda L. Ashlaw, 27, of Potsdam for using a mobile phone while driving at 8:31 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Market Street. 2048 Traffic stop on Market Street. Ticket issued.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Krystal A. Barnes, 24, of Winthrop, for speed in zone(50/30) at 8:48 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on Market Street.

0822 Report of approximately 10 sheep in a yard on Lawrence Avenue. Patrols dispatched in an attempt to keep the sheep from entering the busier areas of the village and to locate the owners. Owner located and responded to retrieve the sheep.

0857 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

0914 Potsdam Rescue and Patrols dispatched to a call for a female who had fallen and suffered a possible back injury.

0941 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to Bagdad and Dayton for a male suffering a seizure.

1106 Potsdam Rescue dispatched for an elderly female for a sick call.

1310 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Elm Street. A verbal warning was issued.

1424Potsdam Rescue ALS dispatched to Waddington for a possible thumb amputation.

1716 Traffic stop initiated on Market Street. No ticket issued.

1735 Traffic stop initiated on Market Street. No ticket issued.

1824 Traffic stop initiated on Elm Street. Ticket issued.

1900 Traffic stop initiated on Market Street. No ticket issued.

1909 Traffic stop initiated on Clarkson Avenue. No ticket issued.

2031 Traffic stop on Market Street. Ticket issued.
