Tim McCreadie has won several races on the World of Outlaws late model tour in his 10 seasons, but nothing was as big as capturing the USA Nationals on Saturday night at Cedar Lake Speedway at New Richmond, Wis.
McCreadie colected $50,150 for his race team. It was his fifth win on the tour this season.
The Watertown native took the lead on lap 54 of the 100-lap race.
Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky. finished second. Watertown resident Tim Fuller finished 19th.
McCreadie, who won the 2005 World of Outlaws late model series title, has been chasing a signature win since returning to the tour on a full-time basis in 2010 following a brief time in NASCAR in 2007 and being sidelined for several months in 2009 due to a back injury.
