Formerly of West Pierrepont –Harvey G. BUD Tupper, 88, of Northwoods Road and formerly of the Selleck Road, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no calling hours at the Lawrence Funeral Home. A celebration of his life is being planned and will be announced in the near future.
Born March 10, 1925, in Hopkinton, NY, a son of the late Otto & Mayford Lottie Tupper, he attended a number of St. Lawrence County Schools and was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII from 1943-1945.
Surviving are his children, Dale (Alton) Tuttle of Russell, Charlie H. (Beth) Tupper of Fine, Jimmy O. (Debbie) Tupper of W. Pierrepont and Mary (Nelson) Flannagan of Hermon; fifteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Hutt Tupper who died in 1985, a brother, Fred Tupper and his step-father, Tony Leonard.
Bud was employed as a truck driver for Sherman Trucking in Potsdam for a number of years. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1231, Canton and the AMVETS in Colton. Bud enjoyed hunting, socializing with friends and family and a good drink.
