Motorists accused of DWI

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Miles T. Rowan, 26, of 20734 Muskellunge Lane, Sackets Harbor, was charged by state police at 7:07 p.m. Aug. 4 on Salmon Run Mall Loop with felony aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and circumventing an interlock system.

His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.22 percent. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

He was previously convicted of DWI in March 2011.

n Haley M. DeJesus, 19, of 33452 County Route 18, Theresa, was charged by state police at 1:33 a.m. Thursday on Route 3 in the town of Theresa. Her BAC was listed as 0.09 percent.

n Bobby G. Romero, 43, of 34 Garden Road, Apt. 1, Philadelphia, also was charged about 4:43 p.m. Thursday by state police with speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, making an unsafe lane change and driving without a license following an ATV accident on Route 136 in the town of Theresa.

Police said the ATV hit a ditch and a tree, causing Mr. Romero to be thrown off the machine. He suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Police are waiting for results of toxicology tests to determine his BAC.

n Jake R. Breen, 21, of 524 Sherman St., was charged by Lowville village police with aggravated DWI at 8:10 a.m. Saturday on Turin Road. His BAC was listed as 0.20 percent.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

n Brandy L. Fields, 44, of 117 Relyea St., Apt. 1, Glen Park, also was charged by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies with failure to keep right Thursday on Route 12E in the town of Lyme following a minor accident.

Deputies said they found a bottle of Xanax on the front passenger seat.
