The United Presbyterian Church of Sackets Harborwill hold its annual silent auction Sunday at the churchs Fellowship Hall at Main and Broad streets. Local restaurants and businesses, as well as members and friends of the church, have donated meals, services and gift items to benefit the churchs mission.
This year, offerings include an overnight stay at the Marina hotel, a one-hour lesson from the Stand Up Paddle Co. and use of a cottage in Lake Placid for a weekend. Bids will be accepted for more than 40 items, including many cakes, fudge and cookies, as well as legal services, artwork, handwoven rugs, a new weed eater and a Vera Bradley bag.
The public is invited to view the items and place their bids from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. At 6, bids will be collected and winners announced. Bidders need not be present to win.
