Christine Jarvis


The funeral for Christine Cecilia Jarvis will be Saturday, August 17, 10:00 am at the Reed and Benoit Funeral Home, Rev. Jonas Tondayu officiating. Burial will follow in North Watertown Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, August 16, from 4 pm - 6 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jarvis died Tuesday, August 13 at the Samaritan Medical Center. She was 75 years old.

Born September 11, 1937, she was a daughter to Lyle and Marie Maitland Morris. She was educated locally. On May 3, 1958 she married John Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis passed away in 1995.

Christine was a life member of the Sackets Harbor American Legion Auxiliary Post 1757. She was also a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart church, an avid bingo player, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Jarvis is survived by four sons, Raymond (Charlene) Jarvis, Sackets Harbor, Steven Jarvis, Watertown, Jimmy (Rachel) Jarvis, Kansas, Dwane (Lisa) Jarvis, Watertown; 5 daughters, Diane Hester, Syracuse, Sandy Phillips and companion Leo Durocher, LaFargeville, Karen Jarvis and companion Shawn Cramer, Watertown, Kristi Whitfield, Adams Center, Darlene (Mike) Beyette, Adams Center; 2 brothers, Joseph and John Morris, Watertown; 4 sisters, Mabel Haskins, Michigan, Marie Goodfriend, California, Sally Rice, Watertown, Shirley Hess, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

She is predeceased by 2 brothers, Kenneth and Albert Morris.

Arrangements are with Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.
