Mr. and Mrs. John A. Harrienger, 1119 Franklin St., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary today.

Mr. Harrienger, son of the late George W. and Marion M. (McDonald) Harrienger, and Pearl Josephine Foti, daughter of the late Philip and Dorothy G. (Hodder) Foti, were married on Aug. 17, 1963, at St. Anthony’s Church with the Rev. Paul G. Brunet, pastor, officiating. Honor attendants were Linda Moculski and Donald Moculski.

Mrs. Harrienger graduated in 1960 from Watertown High School and in 1961 from Watertown School of Commerce. She was employed in the bookkeeping office of Mercy Hospital. She is a member of the Home Bureau and enjoys crafts, oil painting, gardening and spending summers at their cottage in Sherwins Bay.

Mr. Harrienger graduated in 1958 from Immaculate Heart Academy, Watertown. He retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. after 33 years of service as transmission and distribution supervisor of the Watertown line department. He is involved in home restoration and enjoys gardening and working with his sons.

The couple has five sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kelly and Thomas and Kristin, all of Watertown, David and Anne and Stephen and Kelly, all of Sackets Harbor, and Michael and Kate, town of Watertown; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Gokey, Clayton; 16 grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
