Rules for food stamps should be changed

PREV
NEXT

I think that food stamps are a godsend for people who would otherwise go hungry, but I think that the rules regarding the use of them should be changed.

You cannot purchase toilet paper or any personal hygiene products because they are taxable items. On the other hand, you can buy any amount of soda and candy, which is also taxable, but the sales tax is removed at the checkout register.

This results in a great loss of tax revenue besides contributing to obesity and other health and dental problems. There is no nutritional value to these products, and this should not be permitted.
