Waddington traffic stop leads to felony aggravated DWI charge


AGGRAVATED DWI - WADDINGTON - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged Corey A. Brown, 34, of 933 Leray St., Waddington, with felony counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operation of a vehicle without the required interlock ignition device following a prior DWI conviction and ticketed him for failure to keep right following a traffic stop at 1:48 a.m. Saturday on state Route 37 in the town of Waddington. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.24 percent, three times the 0.08 percent BAC that constitutes a DWI charge. He was arraigned in Dekalb Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $4,000 cash.
