Michael Allan Jackson passed away peacefully at home in Lake Hauasu, AZ after a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 69. Michael spent half of his life in Northern New York. He spent his elementary years in Malone and graduated from Massena High School in 1962. He enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He graduated from Potsdam State College in 1970. He went on to teach 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Social Studies at Colton-Pierrepont Central School for over twenty-one years. He retired to Las Vegas, then to Lake Hauasuto be closer to his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his sons Michael R. Jackson in 2006, Sean D. Jackson in 2013, and his brother John Jackson in 2010. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Rita) Jackson, daughter-in-law Melanie Jackson, grandchildren Josephine, Andrew and Samantha of Lake Hauasu; sister-in-law Kathleen Jackson; nephews John-David and Scott; niece Kelly Jackson Denue.
