State Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, will host free senior health and wellness fairs next month.

The first will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11 in the Watertown Municipal Arena at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds, off Coffeen Street, and will feature dozens of vendors, lunch and live entertainment.

Agencies and businesses, including Watertown Audiology, Watertown Housing Authority, Howard Orthotics and Prosthetics and the Northern Regional Center for Independent Living, will be there. Organizations that wish to participate still may register by calling Mrs. Ritchie’s office at 782-3418.

According to a news release, about 2,000 people attended the fairs last year in Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties. The fair in Oswego County will take place Oct. 9 at the Fulton War Memorial, West Broadway Street, and the fair in St. Lawrence County will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Odd Fellows Temple, 424 Bigelow St., Ogdensburg.
