The memorial service for Mary Lou Hough of 14153 County Route 63 Adams will be Friday in the chapel of TLC Funeral Home, Inc. A calling hour will be prior to the service on Friday from Noon til 1:00 p.m.
Internment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Hough died at the Samaritan Keep Home on August 27th. She was 75.
She was born in Pierrepont Manor, New York on October 9, 1937 to Clyde and Pauline Smith Bacon.
She graduated from Belleville High School. She married Gene Hough on December 4, 1955 in Ellisburg, NY with Rev. Albert Budd officiating. Mr. Hough died on March 20, 1999.
Mrs. Hough worked as a book keeper and treasurer for the William S. Rice Co. in Adams for 27 years until she retired in 1984.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and was a member of the Ellisburg Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary and was the treasurer for the Ellisburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Ellisburg Fire Department.
Surviving are her three daughters and two son in laws, Mrs. Brian (Linda) Pearson of Tom Bean, Texas, Mrs. Mark (Polly) Thompson of Adams Center, and Deborah Hough of Tom Bean, Texas, her two son and daughter in laws, Harry and Nancy Hough of Adams, and Daniel and Wendy Hough of Leland, North Carolina, her two brother and sister in laws, Robert and Scotti Bacon of Adams Center and Ronald and Lori Bacon of Montague, NY, her three sisters and a brother in law, Donna VanBrocklin of Belleville, NY, Sally Herrick of Watertown, NY and Mrs. Jerry (Cheryl) Kenyon of Adams Center. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by two sisters Carol Blair and Bonnie Place.
