Richard G. Pomerville,86, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2013.He passed peacefully with his family by his side.

He was born on October 10, 1926, in Watertown, NY, son of GeorgePomerville and Freda Bristol.

He married Barbara Colette on December 29, 1954 at Our Lady of the Sacred

Heart Church rectory.

In 1956, Richard started the Pomerville Septic Service which he owned andoperated until March of 1994. The business has continued and is currentlybeing operated by three of his sons. He was a communicate of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Black River.

Among his survivors are his wife, Barbara J. Pomerville, Watertown; foursons and a daughter in law, Richard J. Pomerville, Great Bend, Jeffrey L.and Rona E. Pomerville, Felts Mills, James J. Pomerville, Watertown, MichaelJ. Pomerville, Brownville; two daughters and a son in law, Susan A. andRicky DeLosh, Watertown, Nancy J. Pomerville, Watertown; 7 sisters, 7grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, four sisters and a brother passed before him.

Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Wed., Sept. 4 at the Bruce Funeral Home,Black River.

The funeral service will be 11 :30a.m. Thurs., Sept 5 at the funeral home.Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery.
