Murray’s Irish Inn golf races close

WADDINGTON - With one week remaining to decide the Division winners of The Murray’s Old Irish Inn League at Twin Brooks Golf Course in Waddington, four teams in the A Division and three teams in the B Division appear to have a shot at their respective titles. In the A Divison, two points separate the frst place team of Denny McGaw and Jim Manning from the fourth place team of Matt and Butch Rutherford.

One half point behind the leaders in second place are Pete Thomas and Colin Campbell followed by the third place team of Sam and Eugene LaBarge who are one point behaind the leaders. In an ironic turn, Denny and Jim will be playing Matt and Butch while Pete and Colin will be opposing Sam and Eugene. In the B Division, Dan Dinneen and Jeff Stein hold a half point lead over Bryan Mott and Rick Mayette and a four and a half point lead on John Dinneen and Mike Stoner. Dan and Jeff will be playing Tom Cameron Jr and Jay Tiernan while Bryan and Rick play Frank Murray and Gib Mitras. John and Mike will be playing Richard and Steve Silver. It should be an interesting final week to the regular season before Championship Week the following week.
