OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Andrew T. Spath, 18, of Rensselaer with an open container violation at 12:57a.m. Saturday on Upper Bay Streetafter police observed him walking with an open container of Busch Beer.

UNSAFE BACKING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Clarissa G. Mitchell, 17, of Potsdam for unsafe backing at 8:40 a.m. Saturday following an investigation into a hit and run accident Sept. 6 on the Clarkson University campus.

STOP SIGN - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Moheem Ilyes, 19, of Salem, N.J., for failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:01 p.m. Saturday on Fall Island after he was observed failing to stop for the stop sign on Clarkson Avenue at The Pit.
