The Jefferson County Industrial Development Agency has hired RSI Roofing, Gouverneur, for $31,000 to repair the roof of the Stream building, 146 Arsenal St.
Repairs will enable the warranty on the roof to be extended for 10 years, agency CEO Donald C. Alexander said. JCIDA decided to extend the warranty to avoid installing a new roof at this time, he said, which would cost about $500,000.
The roof project is among a list of repairs made this summer at the Stream building. Construction workers recently repaired the facade on all sides of the building. A concrete deck area on the upper level of the buildings Court Street side was repaired, and a Dumpster enclosure was installed at the lower-level parking lot.
