SACKETS HARBOR — Two New York City comedians plan to shoot a short film Thursday through Sunday in and around the Lake Ontario Playhouse.

“A Dog’s Life” is produced by playhouse producing artistic director Michael Kinnie and actors and comedians Mark Riccadonna and Jason Solomon. Once completed, the 20-minute short will be entered in various national film festivals, according to Mr. Kinnie, who last year had a short film featured in the Kingston (Ontario) Film Festival.

The black comedy is the story of two buddies, a bartender, a dog and a wife and their antics. It will be co-directed by Mr. Kinnie and Mr. Riccadonna.

“A Dog’s Life” also will feature New York City actress/comedian Angela Cobb. The cinematography will be by Jim Gallagher, also from New York City. The film will not include stand-up comedy performances at the playhouse. However, Mr. Ricadonna will be the headlining comedian for the playhouse Friday and Saturday.

Mr. Riccadonna, who is featured in the new film “Game Night” also has been featured in several national TV commercials and is a member of the off-Broadway theater company the Amoralists.

The comedy shows begin at 9 p.m. and also features the rest of the acting troupe, including Mr. Solomon, with Ms. Cobb and Mr. Gallagher doing guest spots. Tickets are $10 per person.

For more information or to make reservations for the comedy show, contact the playhouse box office at 646-2305 or go to its website at www.playhousecomedy.com.
