POTSDAM - Clarkson Cycling will host an Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference mountain bike race weekend this Saturday and Sundayon campus and in Colton.
The event consists of four races across all disciplines of collegiate mountain biking. Saturday (8:30)and Sunday (9:00) mornings there will be cross-country competitions on the Clarkson hill campus trails, and in the afternoons there will be gravity-fueled (downhill) events at Clarksons Seven Springs property, 100 Crowley Road in Colton.
The race weekend will be the second of six in this years Eastern circuit, with about 10 schools and more than 100 riders on the roster to compete. Riders who do well on the circuit will go on to compete at USA Cycling collegiate nationals in North Carolina.
Collegiate cycling is a USAC-sanctioned club sport that provides a supportive community and a year-round schedule of events for college students who are passionate about cycling.
