Hannah Markey and Anna Docteur each won two events and swam on the first-place freestyle relays to help power the Spartans to an A Division victory at Carthage.
Markey captured the 100 free and 100 backstroke, and Docteur took the 200 and 500 free for South Jefferson (2-0, 1-0).
Claire Sauter finished first in the 100 butterfly, second in the 100 backstroke and contributed to the winning 200 medley relay for Carthage (0-1).
LOWVILLE 60, BEAVER RIVER 38
Kelsey McLean and Grace Metzler each were a part of four wins to lead the Red Raiders to a season-opening B Division victory at Lowville.
McLean captured the 200- and 500-yard freestyles, and Metzler took the 50 and 100 free. Both also swam on two first-place relays.
Madeline Monnat claimed the 100 breaststroke for Beaver River.
