PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Benjamin M. Echt, 18, of Tarrytown with petit larceny following a shoplifting complain at 4:05 p.m. Friday from Walmart in Potsdam.

PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Jeffrey M. Rush, 23, of Massena with petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint at 10:03 p.m. Friday from the town of Potsdam.

FORGED INSTRUMENT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged James R. Jewtraw, 33, of Brushton with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and a felony count of first-degree offering a false instrument Friday stemming from an investigation into a forgery complaint filed with troopers on July 24.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents Friday. Among those:

■ Bridget Marie Grant, 30, of Madrid at 9:31 p.m. on Pork Street, near Route 31A, in the town of Waddington.

■ David R. Davenport, 39, of Moira and Dominic Coallier, 35, of Sainte Remi, Que., were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 8:16 p.m. on East Main Street, near Route 374, in the town of Chateaugay.
