Sterling K. Bush of North Port Fl. died 9/3/13 at the age of 66 with his wife, V. Dawn, sons and brother at his side .
He was born on 9/10/1946 in Gouverneur, N.Y He is preceded in death by his parents Merrill and Lida Bush; two sisters, Sylvia Spadaccini and Sharon Robinson and a step son, Jene Guynup.
He is survived by his wife, V. Dawn; sons, Kurt of NY, Steven of VA and Eric of NH; step daughter, Cheryl Salisbury of NY. two brothers, Schuyler(Karen) of Englewood, and Steward(Doreen) of Mooers NY and North Port. five grandchildren, Andrew, Skylar, Justin, Coty, and Duane Jr.; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He attended school at Hermon DeKalb Central School in N.Y. where he enjoyed sports and music. He was a member of the American Legion, Am Vets of North Port and A life member of the VFW of Brattleboro Vt.
He enjoyed boating, camping, puttering, tools, football, horses and as a youngster farming.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He always had a smirk on his face and loved to tease.
He proudly served in the Army in 1965-1967, and was in Viet Nam. He was a journeyman millwright for many paper companies in N.Y. Massachusetts and Vermont.
Burial to be announced at Sarasota National Cemetery with Military Honors.
