■ The Pamelia Town Council’s October meeting has been moved up to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 to approve the preliminary budget for fiscal year 2014.

n The dedication of the new $255,000 pavilion at the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 28. It is being named for the late Mayor Karl R. Burns.
